RESERVATIONS

Accommodations are limited, in each category, and therefore reservations should be made as early as possible. In order to confirm a reservation the complete name of each passenger together with the passport number, passport expiration date and place of birth will be required. Persons born in Cuba can not be accommodated due to limited immigration services at Cuban seaports.

A reservation will not be confirmed until the 'cruise deposit' has been received by West Indies Cruises, Ltd. Rates are in U.S. dollars, per passenger, based on double occupancy, unless otherwise noted. Travel documents will be issued if and when full payment has been received by West Indies Cruises, Ltd. Travel documents will be sent by regular mail. Passengers will be responsible for express mail charges incurred for reservations, changes to reservations and payments received within 30 days of departure. West Indies Cruises reserves the right to decline the sale of any cabin for less than its capacity and may change cabins, within the same cabin category or to a higher cabin category, with notification.

CRUISE RATES

Cruise Rates include ocean transportation, accommodations and all meals aboard ship. Complimentary wines are served during normal lunch and dinner hours to all passengers 21 years of age or greater. A complimentary shore excursion of Havana, consisting of a 1/2-day city sightseeing tour, is offered to all United States citizen passengers. Port and handling charges, government taxes and fees are not included. Cruise Rates and Port Handling Fees are subject to change without notice. Cruise Rates quoted are subject to written confirmation.

Cruise Rates do not include items of a personal nature such as alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, gift shop purchases, casino, shore excursions, laundry and dry cleaning, photos by the ship's photographer, medical, barber and beauty shop services, spa treatments and ship-to-shore telephone calls.

CRUISE DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

The Cruise Deposit is due and payable to West Indies Cruises, Ltd. seven (7) calendar days after booking. Deposit amounts are:

7 - night cruise $500 per passenger

Full payment of the Cruise Rate must be received by West Indies Cruises, Ltd. seventy five (75) calendar days prior to the scheduled departure date.

West Indies Cruises accepts American Express, MasterCard and Visa for all cruise payments and will require an authorization letter for all bookings paid by credit card.

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

In the event of cancellation, the following charges will be assessed:

All notifications of cancellation must be in writing, either via mail or fax, and received by West Indies Cruises, Ltd. in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada as per the above. The fax number is (905) 629-5133. Any cancellation and/or date change penalties assessed by independent suppliers, such as airlines, hotels, etc., will be charged to the passenger.

EMBARKATION

Passenger Embarkation will commence in Montego Bay, Jamaica at approximately 2:00 P.M., Montego Bay, Jamaica time. Passengers will be required to present their travel documents, including 'Passage Contract', Embarkation Form and passport. All passengers must be on board one (1) hour prior to departure. Reservations will be held until 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure without risk of automatic cancellation.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

US Citizens - US Citizen passengers must have a valid US passport with an expiration date of not less than six (6) months after the scheduled return date. US citizens and/or US resident aliens born in Cuba can not be accommodated on these cruises. Both US and non-U.S. Citizens will be required to surrender their passports at the time of embarkation. Documents will be retained aboard the ship with the Purser and returned to the passenger prior to final disembarkation.

Non US Citizens - All Non US Citizens will require a valid passport with an expiration date of not less than six (6) months after the scheduled return date. Non US Citizens born in Cuba can not be accommodated on these cruises. Non US citizens will be required to surrender their passports at the time of embarkation. Documents will be retained aboard the ship with the Purser and returned to the passenger prior to final disembarkation.

All passengers will be required to retain proper travel documentation and personal identification throughout the cruise. Any passenger traveling without the proper travel documentation will not be permitted to embark the vessel and no refunds will be issued.

AIRPORT DEPARTURE TAXES

Various airports may impose Airport Departure Taxes which are not included in the Air/Sea fare. Passengers participating in the pre/post packages, in Jamaica, will be required to pay an Airport Departure Tax of USD $27.00 per passenger. This tax is collected at the time of airline check-in at the Montego Bay airport and is payable in cash. In-transit passengers, not spending the night ashore in Jamaica, will not be required to pay the Airport Departure Tax in Jamaica.

Airport Departure Taxes are subject to change.

FLIGHT CANCELLATIONS/DELAYS

West Indies Cruises assumes no liability for any acts or omissions on the part of any airline including those involving accidents, flight cancellations, equipment failures, flight delays, flight crew shortages, schedule changes, rerouting, damage to or delay of baggage, overbooking without limitation.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

The Baggage Allowance is limited by the individual air carriers. In the case of Air Jamaica, each passenger is entitled to check in two (2) bags and carry on one (1) additional piece of baggage. First Class passengers may check in three (3) bags. The weight and size requirements for checked baggage, on Air Jamaica, are as follows:

Maximum Weight 70 lbs. per piece
Maximum Size 62"

Maximum size is determined by measuring the total of all 3 dimensions = (Length + Width + Height).

Baggage exceeding the foregoing requirements will be accepted as 'excess baggage' and additional payment will be required.

BAGGAGE HANDLING

Porters are normally available at the port of Montego Bay during embarkation and will assist you during embarkation by taking your luggage to the cruise terminal check-in area. All baggage should be securely fastened, locked and with a baggage tag listing your name, ship's name and cabin number affixed. Porters are not employees of West Indies Cruises and, accordingly, West Indies Cruises assumes no responsibility for their actions. Passengers are advised to hand-carry luggage which contains any valuables, medications and/or travel documents.

BAGGAGE LIABILlTY

The 'carrier', Valtur Tour Operators, S.p.A. and West Indies Cruises Ltd. are not liable or responsible for damage, loss or theft of baggage and/or personal effects. It is highly recommended that passengers purchase a travel protection policy which covers baggage, baggage contents and accidents. Contact our reservation office for details. If no protection is provided, the terms of the 'passage contract' shall apply.

VALUABLES

The 'Carrier', Valtur Tour Operators S.p.A. and West Indies Cruises Ltd. are not liable or responsible for money, jewelry, cameras, cam corders, travel documents and/or other articles which the passenger retains in their personal control and/or cabin. Valuables should be placed in the electronic safe located in every cabin.

SPECIAL NEEDS

The 'Valtur Prima' is not equipped to accommodate most passengers with special needs. The vessel anchors in two ports-of-call and shore access is therefore limited to persons with special needs. Cabins are not equipped to accommodate wheel chairs and many areas of the ship would be inaccessible.

West Indies Cruises reserves the right to refuse passage to anyone who may, in the sole judgment of the 'carrier' and/or West Indies Cruises, require treatment, attention or care beyond the ship's limited facilities.

An infirmary is available aboard the ship, staffed by a physician.

VISITORS

No visitors will be permitted onboard the vessel at any port.

INSURANCE

It is strongly recommended that you consider the purchase of optional travel insurance which provides coverage for trip cancellation or interruption caused by medical or accident reasons. For a complete description of all benefits and limitations, please contact us or your travel agent for details. Coverage must be paid at the time of paying the initial deposit and is effective immediately. Premiums vary according to age and the cost of the total travel arrangements requested. Premiums commence from US$89. It should be noted that the Travel Industry Act of Ontario provides consumer protection up to CA$3500 per person for unused travel arrangements resulting from default on the part of the tour operator.
